This is a crowd pleaser. It’s like and Ice cream sandwich on steroids. Imagine you need dessert for a crowd. This is simple to put together and can easily be doubled or tripled as long as you have enough cake pans. You put this cake out and everyone will ooh and aah. Then they will taste it and the praise will keep coming. Only you will know how easy it was to make.
This one can be changed up a million different ways. Experiment a bit to find the perfect flavor combinations. Change out the toppings or the ice cream flavor, any way it’s sure to be a hit.
No Bake Ice Cream Cake
2 12 count boxes of Ice Cream Sandwiches
1 jar Hot Fudge
1 jar Caramel Sauce
2 tubs Cool Whip
½ Cup Mini Chocolate Chips
Open all the sandwiches from one box and line the bottom of a 9×13” baking pan.
Open one tub of cool whip and spread over the ice cream sandwiches.
Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips over the cool whip.
Heat hot fudge and caramel in microwave. Drizzle hot fudge and caramel over cool whip and chocolate chips.
Open second box of ice cream sandwiches and place over the cool whip layer. Spread the second layer of sandwiches with the second tub of cool whip. Then take a rubber spatula and gently press it down into the cool whip and lift straight up. Do this to the entire surface of the cake to make little points all over the top of the cake.
Then sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips and drizzle with more hot fudge and caramel. After assembly place cake uncovered into the freezer until ready to serve. Serve with hot fudge, caramel and maraschino cherries if desired. Serves 16
